Dennis was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 2, 1947. He grew up in Spokane, Washington and graduated from University High School in 1965. He attended Washington State University, graduating in 1969, and Oregon Health Sciences University, graduating in 1973, and accepted a commission in the Navy. He served at the Naval Regional Medical Center, Camp Pendleton, California; aboard USS Piedmont homeported in Naples, Italy; Marine Corps Air Station as well as Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Beaufort, South Carolina; and the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois. In the latter part on 1982, Dennis left active service in the Navy for a Maxillofacial Surgery Residency in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, completing that in 1985. He returned to the Northwest and is in private practice in Salem, Oregon. Dennis stayed active as an officer in the Naval Reserve and was selected for various commands. He was recalled to active duty for Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and deployed with Fleet Hospital 15 to Saudi Arabia. Captain Johnson retired from the Navy Reserve in 1998. Dennis and his wife, Susan, have four grown children, Shalem, Shelah, Darren and Dean. Dennis was raised a Master Mason in 1992 in Salem Lodge #4 and was Worshipful Master in 1997. In addition to work on various Grand Lodge Committees, he has served as District Deputy of the Grand Master in 2000, 2001 and 2002; Senior Grand Steward in 2002-2003, Senior Grand Deacon 2003-2004; elected as Junior Grand Warden in 2004, Senior Grand Warden in 2005 and Deputy Grand Master in 2006. He was elected and installed Grand Master in June of 2007.

Bob arrived in this world on January 3, 1938 in Thermopolis, Wyoming. He grew up on a large cattle ranch north of Cody, Wyoming. He married lifemate Joyce in February, 1958 in Laurel, Montana. Their family includes three children with spouses and three granddaughters. Bob graduated from the University of Idaho in Forestry in June, 1961, and began a 36 year career in the United States Forest Service. He served 25 years in line officer positions including Assistant Ranger, District Ranger, Assistant Forest Supervisor, Deputy Forest Supervisor, and Forest Supervisor. He became Director of Range and Watershed Management for the National Forests of Oregon in Washington in the early 1980's; moved to Forest Service Headquarters in Washington, D.C. in 1984; and, returned to Oregon in 1987 as Forest Supervisor of the Wallowa Whitman National Forest in baker City where he retired in 1997. Bob’s Masonic career began in Sheyenne Valley Lodge #12 in Lisbon, N.D. in 1968 followed by initiation in the Scottish Rite Valley of Billings (Montana) and Al Bedoo Shrine Temple in Billings in the mid-1970's. He served as Master of Baker Lodge No.47; twice as District Deputy of the Grand Master; membership on six Grand Lodge Committees; and, Grand Lodge Officer appointments as Grand Orator in 2003/2004 and Senior Grand Deacon in 2004/2005. He was elected Junior Grand Warden in 2005, Senior Grand Warden in 2006 and Deputy Grand Master in 2007. He currently holds memberships in Blue Mountain Lodge # 34; Baker Valley Scottish Rite; Grand Ronde Valley Chapter of Royal Arch # 20; Al Kader Shrine Temple; Royal Order of Scotland; and, Esther Chapter # 11 Order of the Eastern Star. He served as the Worthy Grand Patron for the Grand Chapter of Oregon in 1999-2000. Blue Mountain Lodge # 34 honored him with the Hiram Award in 2004.

Ed grew up in Scappoose graduating from high school in 1960. In 1962 he joined the Army, and after discharge in 1965 returned to Scappoose where he met Judy. They were married on October 28, 1966. Ed graduated from Oregon State University (go Beavs) in 1972. In 1974 the family moved to Bend and in 1979 he opened an accounting practice. In 200r he sold the business except for a few clients. Ed & Judy have three grown daughters and eight grandchildren. Ed and his Dad were both raised in St. Helens Lodge No. 32 on October 22nd. Ed in 1966 and Dad in 1955. He served as Senior Deacon in St. Helens Lodge before moving to continue his education. He served as Master of Bend Lodge No. 139 in 2003 and 2006, as District Deputy of now District 19 in 2004-2005 and 2005-2006. He served on the Long Range Planning Committee's Advisory Group from inception in 2003 until 2006 and served as Chairman of the Sustaining Group until being appointed Senior Grand Deacon for the 2006-2007 Masonic Grand Lodge year. Ed is also a member of Amaranth, Scottish Rite, York Rite, the Shrine. In addition, he is a member of the Central Oregon Scottish Rite Club and the Central Oregon Shrine Club. Ed was elected Junior Grand Warden for the 2007-2008 Masonic Grand Lodge year.

Aaron was born in Stuart, Florida in 1946 and raised in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Parkrose High School in 1964, playing starting guard on the 1964 State Basketball Championship Team. After high school he served 3 1/2 years in the US Air Force. He then attended Mt. Hood Community College and joined the Portland Police Bureau on 3-25-71. He is the recipient of the Police Bureau's Police Star, for injuries received in the line of duty and the Police Bureau's Medal of Valor, for conspicuous heroism in the line of duty. He retired on 6-26-96 after 25 years and 3 months service to the citizen's of the City of Portland. Aaron served as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of A.F. & A.M. in 1999-2000 and was appointed Grand Secretary in October, 2003. He was elected to that position on June 4, 2004. He was re-elected in 2005, 2006 and 2007. He also served as Illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of Oregon in 2002-2003. He served 3 years on the Board of Directors of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial and six years on the Commission on Information for Recognition for the Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America. He has been married for 34 years to his wife Chris and they have 4 grown children, Alisa, Maegan, Shannon, Aaron Jr and three grandchildren.

Paul was born in Los Angeles, California in 1967. He was raised in San Fernando Valley California with his two brothers and one sister. He graduated from High School in 1985. He petitioned Laurel Lodge No. 13 in February 2000 and was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason at Laurel Lodge's Annual Outdoor Degree in August of 2000. That December he was installed as Junior Deacon and served as Worshipful Master in 2005. In October 2005 he was appointed Assistant Grand Secretary by Most Worshipful Grand Master Erin Endicott.

Dennis is a fifth generation Oregonian born in 1952 in Grants Pass. As a youth he resided in Grants Pass, the Eagle Rock and Glendale areas of California, and Marial, Oregon on the Lower Rogue River. His career with the Oregon Department of Transportation began in 1974 in Grants Pass, moving to Ontario, Milwaukie, and finally to Salem in August 1983 with statewide responsibilities in various program areas where he retired after 30 years in 2004. Dennis and Donna were married in 1979 in Grants Pass and have 4 children. Dennis currently works part time as a consultant and small business owner. Current hobbies include rock hounding, collecting Montana Yogo Sapphires, gardening, and cars. In January 1982 he was raised a Master Mason in Acacia Lodge #118 in Ontario, and upon moving to Salem affiliated with Keizer Lodge #219 where he was Worshipful Master in 1988. Following consolidation with Vista Masonic Lodge #215 he was elected to Worshipful Master in 2006 and 2007. He is active in Royal Arch Masons in Washington Chapter #18, the Masonic Low Twelve Club, and Oregon Masonic Charitable Foundation. He was appointed Grand Pursivant in 2003, and District Deputy from 2004 through 2007. Dennis has served on various Grand Lodge committees and enjoys helping contribute to the improvement of Oregon Freemasonry. The main reason he asked “how do you join” to coworker Dareld Steinke from Vale, Oregon was because he wanted to give back to the fraternity through which the Shiner’s Hospital helped his mother Sharon walk again after contracting Polio in Keno, Oregon in 1935.

Richard (Rich) was born in Copaigue, New York on December 14, 1946. Soon after graduating West Babylon High School he joined the Air Force and spent his first year of duty in Mississippi for Electronics training. Following some short assignments in the U.S. he was sent to Wakkanai, Japan for a year and a half where he monitored Russian Air and Space craft. After a short stint in Florida he returned home, and on March 15, 1969 married his High School sweetheart, Janet. For the next nine years Rich worked as a Lineman for New York Telephone Company until transferring to Pacific Northwest Bell in 1978. In December of 1997 he retired as an Outside Plant Engineer. For the next five years he worked as a Contractor building “Cell Sites” for W & H Pacific, a private engineering firm. Currently he is self-employed as a Contractor working on residential and commercial remodels. Rich and Janet raised three children - Janet Joy, Valerie Jeanne and Richard William and have one grandchild, Katrina Renee. Rich is a Past Master of Tigard/Orenomah Lodge No. 207 in 2002 and has served on several Grand Lodge Committees over the past five years. He is currently Chairman of the Information/Education and Fellow of the Craft Committees. He served as District Deputy in 2005 and 2006 and was appointed W. Senior Grand Deacon in 2007.

During Tomey Greer's 29 years as a Master Mason he has been past Master of Rainier Lodge #24 and District Deputy of District #2. Currently he is Grand Marshal and W.M. of Clatskanie Lodge #133. He is a Navy submarine veteran and is retired from Reynolds Metals Co., where he was a journeyman millwright. Tomey resides in Rainier, Or. with his wife Anne, of 36 years. They have 2 sons. David was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1949. His parents traveled extensively when he was a child and he lived in rural Nebraska, upstate New York and the Philippines. Eventually they settled in Southern California and David completed high school in Garden Grove, California. He moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1960s where he married Mary Walsh and they had two daughters, Sarah and Deirdre. In 1988 the family moved to Salem, Oregon, where they currently reside. David’s education includes business administration at City College of San Francisco, engineering at Foothill College and law at Peninsula University. He had four years of commercial banking experience at Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco. For ten years he and his wife owned and operated Time Square Jewelers, in San Jose, California. Upon moving to Oregon, he started Dave Fryday Construction which focused on commercial and residential remodeling and new residential construction. For the last fifteen years he has been a commercial real estate appraiser specializing in senior’s housing valuation and consulting. David was raised as a Master Mason in Willow Glen Lodge No. 676 F & AM in California in 1987. He is a Past Master and life member of Salem Lodge No. 4, AF & AM; is Worthy Patron at Salem Chapter 162 of the Order of Eastern Star; and member of the following organizations: Salem Valley of Scottish Rite, Cherry Court No. 19, Order of the Amaranth, and Al Kader Shrine. David was District Deputy of District 16 (Salem) of the Grand Lodge of Oregon from 2002 through 2006. Larry was born May 31, 1943 in Palo Alto, California and raised there. In 1961 he joined the US Navy and was trained as a Hospital Corpsman. Larry served at the Naval Hospital on Guam and for the US Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, California. Larry was married just before his discharge from the Navy and he and his wife had two children, Teri and Gary. Shortly after the death of Gary at age 17, the marriage dissolved. Larry later married Cecilia. After leaving the military in 1965, Larry moved to Oregon where he entered Law Enforcement and was hired by the Monmouth Police Department. He moved his family to Gresham in March 1968 when he was hired by the Gresham Police Department. He retired as a Sergeant on 5-31-94. He served the department in many capacities but his favorite assignment was that of a Motorcycle Sergeant. Larry received numerous awards for Public service to the Law Enforcement field including; "The Golden Poppy Award" from the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation for Special Commendation; an award from the National Park Service for Special Recognition; a Public Service Award from the Oregon Peace Officers Association; and a Distinguished Service Award from the Gresham Police Department. After retirement, he volunteered for 5 + years as the Police Chaplain for the Troutdale Police Department. He also served on a Senior Citizen Advisor Board for the YWCA and worked for the Multnomah County Sheriff Office doing pre employment background investigations. He served as a Cub Master from 1978 to 1981 for Pack 544 and Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 544, 1981 to 1983. Larry served as President of the Oregon Peace Officers Association in 1995-96. He was initiated April 23, 1990, passed May 28, 1990 and raised June 25, 1990. He is a life member of Gresham 152, Royal Arch Masons, Council of Cryptic Masons, and the Commandery. Larry served as chairman of the Grand Lodge DARE committee, as District Deputy for District #9 for two years, 1997-1999, as Grand Chaplain 1999-2000. In 1999, he was honored with the Hiram Award from Gresham Lodge. He was served as Senior Grand Steward for the years 2001-2002, was elected as Lodge Secretary 2002 and was appointed to the position of Grand Historian in 2002 and has continued to serve in that position. After serving on the Grand Lodge Library and Museum Committee, Larry was honored at the Grand Masters Banquet for that service with a plaque by Grand Master John Livie.

Dave was born Sept. 22, 1942 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He resided there until his graduation from Klamath Union High School in 1960. He joined the US Navy in late summer of that year. After discharge from the Navy he pursued an eclectic career in various sales and management positions culminating in his present employment with Oregon Dept. of Transportation. Dave and his wife Sharon reside in South Salem. He has two grown sons, Kenneth and Carl . He enjoys music, laughter, woodworking, fishing, and an occasional good book. Dave is Past Master of Salem No. 4 (1995), 32nd degree Scottish Rite in Salem, and a member of Al Kader Shine.

Louie is a graduate of Portland High School, Portland, AR, in 1945. He attended Arkansas A & M College, and has taken correspondence courses in Electrical and Management studies. Louie was a journeyman serviceman with the Arkansas Power & Light Co., General Manager of Ashley-Chicot Electric Cooperative in Hamburg, Arkansas and served over eighteen years with NRECA as a Senior Management Advisor organizing Rural Electric Cooperatives in under developed countries, retiring in 1985, to the shoreline of Lake Chicot, Lake Village, Arkansas. He was raised a Master Mason in Portland Lodge No. 499, Portland, AR, on June 23, 1947 and served as its Worshipful Master from July 1951 thru July 1954, and Secretary for 10 years. Has been a plural member with Prairie Lodge No. 465, and D. H. Reynolds Lodge No. 563, (serving two years as Master) both in Arkansas, and Victoria Lodge No. 9, Belgaum, India. He was first appointed District Deputy Grand Master in 1955 and served under seven (7) Grand Masters, and is a Certified Instructor in the Ritual. He is a charter member of Delta Chapter OES (1950), Portland, AR. Louie received the Pillars of Solomon Award in 2001 (it is the same as the Hiram Award). He received the Scottish Rite Degrees, Valley of Little Rock, Arkansas, in the May Class 1956. He was invested as Knight Commander Court of Honor (KCCH) in October 1989 and Coronated an Inspector General Honorary 33rd Degree in December 1995. Louie was Scottish Rite Man of the Year in 1989 and 2001, and organized the first 32nd Degree Clubs in Arkansas. He moved to Oregon in July 2001 and affiliated with Vista Masonic Lodge No. 215, and the Salem Valley Scottish Rite Bodies in Salem, OR. He and his wife, Betty, have been married sixty years, and have two sons, and great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Kent was born in San Rafael, California on August 18, 1965. He grew up in Bend, Oregon and graduated from Mountain View High School in 1984. While attending high school Kent was a member of Pilgrim Chapter Order of DeMolay. He attended Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls, Oregon receiving his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology in 1993. He met his wife Brynne at OIT and they were married May 1994 in Reno, Nevada. Kent was raised a Master Mason in January 2002 in Tigard-Orenomah Lodge No. 207. He served as Worshipful Master of Tigard-Orenomah Lodge in 2006. Kent is also a Senior DeMolay and a member of the Portland Valley Scottish Rite. Kent currently works as a Systems Analyst II at Certegy Payment Systems.

Gary was born and raised in Salem and started learning the piano at an early age. By the time he got into high school, he had other interests, primarily his studies, and stopped taking lessons. He received his BS at the University of Oregon and MS in mathematics at the University of Illinois. While in Illinois, he started playing the guitar, and continued playing guitar in a rock band after he returned to Oregon. He settled down in Roseburg and began his career with the Oregon Water Resources Department. While there, he became involved in Masonry and was raised in Laurel Lodge in 1985. He served Laurel Lodge as Worshipful Master in 1990. With their long time musician's health failing, Gary began playing piano again, as lodge musician. About the same time, he learned about the Cascade Ragtime Society in Roseburg, and started learning ragtime. Gary moved back to Salem in 1997 and continues to work for Water Resources and learn ragtime.

Mark was born and raised in the Midwest, but has called Oregon home since 1993. Mark graduated from Kansas State University and worked as a Police Officer for the Riley County Police Department in Manhattan, Kansas before moving to Corvallis. He is currently a Detective for the Corvallis Police Department, specializing in forensic computer examination. He and his wife, Jeanette, have two children. Mark began his Masonic career in 1996, and has served as Master of Mary’s River Lodge #221, District Deputy, and as a Grand Lodge committee chairman. He is a proud member of Al Kader Shrine. In addition to his Masonic activities, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, and is currently 2nd Vice President of the Oregon Peace Officers Association.

Cary is a native Oregonian, born in Stayton in 1956. He and wife, Nancylee Stewart, live in Coos Bay and love the coast. They have one daughter, Aleesha, who is a recent graduate of UNLV receiving her degree in medical imaging (ultrasound). She is currently living and working in Las Vegas . Cary became involved in Masonry by way of Aleesha's involvement in Jobs Daughters, as he had no previous family history of Masonic involvement. Cary enjoys hunting and fishing in our great state, has been involved in local live melodrama theater, was a volunteer fireman/EMT for sixteen years, enjoys spending time with family and friends and of course loves being a Mason and member of OES. He is very involved in both locally. He considers being selected to serve Grand Lodge one of the greatest honors of his life.

Bob is a native Texan, who moved Oregon in 1992. Since then, except for a one-year sabbatical, during which he lived and taught at a small college in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, he has resided in southwest Portland. After completing Bachelor and Master's degrees at the University of Texas at Austin, he earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, and he is currently a Professor of Statistics at Portland State University. In addition to his interest in the esoteric symbolism of Freemasonry, he takes pleasure in music and foreign languages (classical Greek, Latin, and Hebrew, and modern Spanish, French, and Arabic).
