Ed grew up in Scappoose graduating from high school in 1960. In 1962 he joined the Army, and after discharge in 1965 returned to Scappoose where he met Judy. They were married on October 28, 1966. Ed graduated from Oregon State University (go Beavs) in 1972. In 1974 the family moved to Bend and in 1979 he opened an accounting practice. In 2000 he sold the business except for a few clients. Ed & Judy have three grown daughters and eight grandchildren. Ed and his Dad were both raised in St. Helens Lodge No. 32 on October 22nd. Ed in 1966 and Dad in 1955. He served as Senior Deacon in St. Helens Lodge before moving to continue his education. He served as Master of Bend Lodge No. 139 in 2003 and 2006, as District Deputy of now District 19 in 2004-2005 and 2005-2006. He served on the Long Range Planning Committee's Advisory Group from inception in 2003 until 2006 and served as Chairman of the Sustaining Group until being appointed Senior Grand Deacon for the 2006-2007 Masonic Grand Lodge year. Ed is also a member of Amaranth, Scottish Rite, York Rite, the Shrine. In addition, he is a member of the Central Oregon Scottish Rite Club and the Central Oregon Shrine Club. Ed was elected Junior Grand Warden in 2007, Senior Grand Warden in 2008 and Deputy Grand Master in 2009.

Richard (Rich) was born in Copaigue, New York on December 14, 1946. Soon after graduating West Babylon High School he joined the U. S. Air Force and spent his first year of duty in Mississippi for Electronics training. Following some short assignments in the U.S. he was sent to Wakkanai, Japan for a year and a half where he monitored Russian Air and Space craft. After a short stint in Florida he returned home, and on March 15, 1969 married his High School sweetheart, Janet. For the next nine years Rich worked as a Lineman for New York Telephone Company until transferring to Pacific Northwest Bell in 1978. In December of 1997 he retired as an Outside Plant Engineer. For the next five years he worked as a Contractor building “Cell Sites” for W & H Pacific, a private engineering firm. He was a self-employed General Contractor working on residential and commercial remodels until his retirement in November of 2009. Rich and Janet raised three children - Janet Joy, Valerie Jeanne and Richard William and have three grandchild - Katrina, Devyn and Milo. Rich is a Past Master of Tigard/Orenomah Lodge No. 207 in 2002 and has served on several Grand Lodge Committees over the past eight years. He is currently Chairman of the Budget and Lodge Management Advisory Committees. He served as District Deputy in 2005 and 2006 and was appointed W. Senior Grand Deacon in 2007. He was elected as Junior Grand Warden in 2008, Senior Grand Warden in 2009 and Deputy Grand Master in 2010.

Joined the U.S. Naval Reserve 1963, requested immediate active duty and was assigned to the USS Pyro AE-24, an ammunition ship out of Port Chicago, California. Started his professional career at The First National Bank of McMinnville founded by his Great, Great Grandfather on December 1, 1883. Employed as an Assistant National Bank Examiner with the U.S. Treasury Department 1967 through 1969 out of Billings, Montana. Returned to the First National Bank of McMinnville 1970 through 1986 at which time the Bank was sold. Graduated Pacific Coast Banking School 1978. President McMinnville Chamber of Commerce 1980. Began employment in the Accounting Office of Linfield College 1987 through retirement in March 2007 monitoring and supervising Student Accounts. Married Patricia Ann (Patti) Harp December 29, 1967. David was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1949. His parents traveled extensively when he was a child and he lived in rural Nebraska, upstate New York and the Philippines. Eventually they settled in California and David completed high school in Garden Grove, California. He moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1960s where he married Mary Walsh and they had two daughters, Sarah and Deirdre. In 1988 the family moved to Salem, Oregon, where they currently reside. David’s education includes business administration at City College of San Francisco, engineering at Foothill College and law at Peninsula University. He had four years of commercial banking experience at Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco. For ten years he and his wife owned and operated Time Square Jewelers, in San Jose, California. Upon moving to Oregon, he started Dave Fryday Construction which focused on commercial and residential remodeling and new residential construction. For the last fifteen years he has been a commercial real estate appraiser specializing in senior’s housing valuation and consulting. David was raised as a Master Mason in Willow Glen Lodge No. 676 F & AM in California in 1987. He is a Past Master and life member of Salem Lodge No. 4, AF & AM; and member of the following organizations: Salem Chapter 162 of the Order of Eastern Star, Salem Valley of Scottish Rite, Cherry Court No. 19, Order of the Amaranth, and Al Kader Shrine. David was District Deputy of District 16 (Salem) of the Grand Lodge of Oregon from 2002 through 2006. He is a recipient of the Hiram Award and active participant in the Long Range Planning Committee of the Grand Lodge of Oregon.

Paul was born in Los Angeles, California in 1967. He graduated from High School in 1985 and went into the Commercial Printing Industry. After moving to Roseburg, Oregon, he Petitioned Laurel Lodge No. 13 for the Degrees of Masonry. He was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason at Laurel Lodge No. 13's Annual Patterson Park Outdoor Degree in August of 2000. Later that December, he was installed as Junior Deacon and before being installed Worshipful Master in 2005; he obtained his advanced Proficiency, completed the Torch Light Program and was regularly giving two of three Degree Lectures in his Blue Lodge. Paul is also a 32° Scottish Rite and a Shrine Mason. In October of 2005 he was appointed Assistant Grand Secretary by Most Worshipful Grand Master Erin Endicott. During the 159th Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of A.F. & A.M. of Oregon he was elected Grand Secretary.

Fred was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1932. He completed high school there and after a four-year stint in the US Navy, attended and graduated from the University of Cincinnati. He married Esther Casuto in 1959 and they have two children and three grandchildren. The family moved to Southern California where obtained his MBA at Pepperdine University. Fred spent 20 years in aerospace businesses and then joined Walt Disney Imagineering for 10 years were he managed planning and scheduling for the building of EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World. He and Esther owned and operated a business systems/computer consulting business in Southern California for about 10 years until they pulled up stakes and moved to the central coast of Oregon. He continues to teach in the online campus of several universities. Fred was raised as a Master Mason in his father’s Lodge in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1963 where he served as the head of the Fellowcraft Team for the Master Mason Degree. He is a present member and Past Master of Taft Lodge #200, a member of Research Lodge #198 and member of the Oceanside Court #37 Order of the Amaranth. Fred was District Deputy of District #14 from 2002-2005. He is a member of the Portland Valley of the Scottish Rite and a member of the Board of the Oregon Scottish Clinics. He has been serving as a member of the Library and Museum Committee of the Grand Lodge and as a member of the board of directors of the Oregon Masonic Charitable Foundation. Fred is presently the Grand Representative of the Grand Lodge of Israel to the Grand Lodge of Oregon.

S Army Air Force in Europe, transferring to the Army in 1947 retiring in 1975 with over 30 years service, ten of which were overseas. Married Barbara in 1945. Four children completed the family. Raised a Master Mason in 1947 in Pinal No. 30 F&AM in Arizona. Currently a member of Pinal No. 30, Redmond No. 154, Bend No. 139 and Robert Burns No. 97. Served as Master of Redmond Lodge No.154 in 2000, 2001 and 2002. Served as District Deputy in 2002 and 2003. Appointed Grand Lecturer in and 2003 and Grand Chaplain in 2004. Member of Baker Valley Scottish Rite, Hillah Shrine, and Central Oregon York Rite Bodies. Resided in Sisters, Oregon since 1980.

Mark was born and raised in the Midwest, but has called Oregon home since 1993. Mark graduated from Kansas State University and worked as a Police Officer for the Riley County Police Department in Manhattan, Kansas before moving to Corvallis. He is currently a Detective for the Corvallis Police Department, specializing in forensic computer examination. He and his wife, Jeanette, have two children. Mark began his Masonic career in 1996, and has served as Master of Mary’s River Lodge #221, District Deputy, and as a Grand Lodge committee chairman. He is a proud member of Al Kader Shrine. In addition to his Masonic activities, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, and is a past President of the Oregon Peace Officers Association.

Don is a native of Oregon and grew up in the Beaverton area, attending Beaverton High School, graduating in 1962. He was Master Councilor of Beaverton DeMolay; Met his wife Pat, Honored Queen of Bethel #62 and were married in August of 1964. He joined the Air Force in 1966 and spent four years as a motion picture photographer, having a tour in Vietnam. After returning to Portland in 1970, he worked for KATU Television, as a photojournalist for 36 years, retiring in 2006. He was raised a Master Mason in Washington Lodge #46 in 1974, serving as master in 1979 and 2003. First Served in Grand Lodge as Junior Grand Steward in MWB Vern Beito’s year and has been on various Grand Lodge committees including Masonic Information and Education. Currently a member of the Amaranth, Eastern Star and Shrine. Was District Deputy of District #5 in 2008 and 2009 and is also a board member of the Masonic Charitable Foundation. Don and his wife Pat have two children and three grand children. He Enjoys family time, camping, fly fishing, photography and playing with Al Kader’s Oriental Band.

Steve was born in Flint, Michigan in 1956. He joined Parkrose Lodge No. 179 in 1998 and served as Worshipful Master in 2004 and 2005. He is a life member of Parkrose Lodge No. 179 and holds dual membership in Waverly Lodge No. 174. He served the Grand Lodge as District Deputy from 2007 until 2009, and was then appointed Senior Grand Steward for 2009-2010. Steve currently serves as Grand Historian and is a member of the Long Range Planning Committee. Steve is a member of the Ancient, Accepted Scottish Rite, 32° and serves as stage manager for the Portland Valley. In 2009, he received the honor of KCCH. Additionally, he is a member of Al Kader Shriners and serves on their Master Mason Degree Team. In his spare time he is an avid hunter and fisherman.

Douglas Chipman was born and raised in California and, after graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a BA in English, began working in road construction in the Bay Area. He married Susan in 1993 and Bryan and Jennifer were born in 1994 and 1996. In 2001 the family relocated to Bend Oregon, where Douglas joined the Bend Lodge and, with Susan, the Redmond Chapter of Eastern Star. In 2006 he and Susan began working with Bethel 11 and Pilgrim Chapter. In 2008 he served as Worshipful Master of Bend Lodge, and began working as a construction inspector for ODOT in Beaverton. The family is currently in the process of moving to West Linn.

Gary was born and raised in Salem and started learning the piano at an early age. By the time he got into high school, he had other interests, primarily his studies, and stopped taking piano lessons. He received his BS at the University of Oregon and MS in mathematics at the University of Illinois. While in Illinois, he started playing the guitar, and continued playing guitar in a rock and roll band after he returned to Oregon. He settled down in Roseburg and began his career with the Oregon Water Resources Department. While there, he became involved in Masonry and was raised in Laurel Lodge in 1985. He served Laurel Lodge as Worshipful Master in 1990. With their long time musician's health failing, Gary began playing piano again, as lodge musician. About the same time, he learned about the Cascade Ragtime Society in Roseburg, and became active in the Society. Gary moved back to Salem in 1997 completed his career with Oregon Water Resources and retired in 2007. After operating a water rights consulting business for about a year, he got an offer he couldn't refuse from the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and is now employed with them as their water rights expert. He was first appointed Grand Organist in 2003 by MWB Vern Beito after he heard him play at the Salem Keizer Outdoor Degree and continues to serve in that capacity.

Dan was born in 1937 and raised in central California. He attended local schools and graduated from the University of California with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He retired from Hewlett Packard after working for many years as an Engineer and Manager. He married Karen, and together they have three grown children. Dan was raised a Master Mason in Corvallis #14 in 1998 and served as Master in 2003 and 2006. He served as a District Deputy in 2004-2007 and is a member of York Rite and Al Kader Shrine. He has been a member of the Home Endowment Committee in 2008 and 2009 and is the Chairman in 2010. Dan is the current Building Manager of the Corvallis Masonic Building.

J.J. “Joe” Fontana served from 1957-1984 in the U.S. Coast Guard. He and his wife Sandy have celebrated 48 years of "wedded bliss." Joe was raised a Master Mason in 1975 in Seward Lodge No. 6, F. & A.M., in Seward, Alaska. He has served as Secretary of Florence Lodge No. 107, A.F. & A.M., Florence, Oregon, and is a Past Master of that Lodge. He is also a Past Master of Blue Mountain Lodge No. 34, A.F. & A.M., Baker City, Oregon, and served as Secretary of McEwen Lodge No. 125, A.F. & A.M., in Sumpter, Oregon. His other fraternal memberships include the Scottish Rite, Shrine, York Rite, Allied Masonic Degrees, Research Society and the National Sojourners.

Bob is a native Texan, who moved Oregon in 1992. Since then, except for a one-year sabbatical, during which he lived and taught at a small college in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, he has resided in southwest Portland. After completing Bachelor and Master's degrees at the University of Texas at Austin, he earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, and he is currently a Professor of Statistics at Portland State University. In addition to his interest in the esoteric symbolism of Freemasonry, he takes pleasure in music and foreign languages (classical Greek, Latin, and Hebrew, and modern Spanish, French, and Arabic).
